ISRO to launch PSLV-C44 and Kalamsat-V2 satellite made by students

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to launch today Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)-C44, the first mission of PSLV -DL (a new variant of PSLV).

The PSLV-C44 will carry Microsat-R, an imaging satellite and Kalamsat-V2, a satellite developed by students and Space Kidz India. The PSLV-C44 will launch Kalamsat V2 and Microsat-R into sun synchronous polar orbit.

It will be launched from First Launch Pad (FLP) Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota today at 23:40 hrs.

PSLV-C44 will be the first to use demonstration of spent stage PS4 (fourth stage) as an experimental orbital platform for carrying out technology demonstration
