Jacinda Arden, the world’s youngest female head of the government, gives birth to a baby girl at Auckland Hospital today. Jacinda Arden along with her partner Clarke Gayford shared a picture on Instagram.

Jacinda Arden, got elected as the 40th Prime Minister of New Zealand assumed office on October 2017. She is the world’s youngest female head of the government, having taken the office at the age of 37. After Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan’s then Prime minister who gave birth while in office, Arden is the second female world leader to give birth to a baby while in office.

Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters has taken over as acting Prime Minister.
